Designed by William Mitchell and inaugurated in 1974 the Quinta do Lago (South) golf course is one of the most well known golf courses in Europe. Originally made up of 2 separate 9 hole courses, the strategically placed bunkers on the 15th, although a par 3, has a 210 yard carry shot over a lake and onto the green shrouded by trees. Another not to be missed courses on your Algarve itinerary. The South course is located at the heart of Quinta do Lago and just 18 kilometres East of Vilamoura.
